When Nicole from Rounded Edge Style approached Häcker Perth, the vision was clear: a timeless, opulent bar space worthy of a serious collector. Photorealistic renders brought the concept to life during design meetings, giving the clients confidence in every decision as the space evolved.

Key design features:

• Full-depth adjustable shelving cabinets for flexible, ample storage
• Knurled antique brass handles echoing the antique brass mirror splashback
• Integrated liner lighting to draw the eye to the collection on display
• Bookshelves on either side for additional storage without disrupting the visual flow

The cabinetry features Häcker wood doors finished in a deep velvet blue, providing a rich, enveloping foundation for the space. Integrated shelf lighting ensures the client’s whisky and cigar collection remains the undisputed centrepiece, casting a warm, ambient glow across the display.

Dekton Taj Mahal surfaces provide the perfect counterpoint to the deep blue cabinetry, their light, veined tones grounding the scheme without competing with it. The bronzed mirror back panel reflects the integrated lighting beautifully, amplifying the sense of warmth and depth throughout the space. To complete the look, Nicole specified the same deep blue for the surrounding walls, creating a seamless, immersive environment where the cabinetry and architecture feel entirely at one.

Striking the right balance between opulence and functionality was the defining challenge of this project. The space needed to feel dramatic and celebratory without overshadowing the collection it was designed to display. By carefully layering lighting, storage, and bespoke finishes, the team created a space that is undeniably beautiful and impressively practical, while ensuring the client’s treasured items remain the star of the show at all times.
